NB Custom Builds designs and builds luxury custom homes, knock down rebuilds, duplex developments, and sustainable builds across the Mornington Peninsula. What sets us apart isn’t a marketing line — it’s structural: we deliberately take on a limited number of projects each year, so every build gets director-level attention rather than being one of dozens running at once.
There’s no rotating project manager and no call center. Managing Director Nick Barbera is personally involved in every project, from the first site visit to the day you get your keys.

NB Custom Builds wasn’t built as a franchise or a volume operation. It grew out of one person’s experience on real building sites across the Peninsula.
Nick Barbera begins his career as a carpenter, working across residential building sites on the Mornington Peninsula and learning the trade from the ground up.
Nick moves into project management for one of the Peninsula's most prominent builders, overseeing residential projects and building a professional network of trades and suppliers that's still in use today.
Nick founds NB Custom Builds to do things differently: boutique volume, personal supervision on every project, and honest communication — no separate contractors, no handoffs.
NB Custom Builds is a registered VIC builder and Master Builders Victoria member, having delivered luxury custom homes, knock down rebuilds, and developments for clients from Portsea to Mount Eliza.

Nick began as a carpenter, learning his craft on the tools, before becoming a project manager for one of the Peninsula’s most prominent builders. He founded NB Custom Builds to deliver homes that exceed expectations — personally supervising every project himself, from the first site visit to final handover.
